On the set of Gossip Girl yesterday, I met a few parents that were sitting around me in the waiting area. They were guardians for the children that were performing on the show. There was one parent though who blew me away with what she said while talking to the other parents.
This is what she said:
"Our kids are in a different world then us. As parents all's we can do is love them and be there for them. Anything else we can only do our best. Also, not all forms of parenting are capable with every kind of child, so we have to listen to them in order to understand how we can do the best we can for them."
In my head I was like whaaAAAAAAAAAAat!! I couldn't believe I heard a parent that was SO wise! She just looked like a regular woman too, but I couldn't believe what came out of her mouth! Book covers CAN be deceiving! ;D hehe
I'm glad to see that the future of parents will be THAT much more wiser possibly. Even it if was just ONE parent that said all that, that is THAT much more hope compared to the parents of my generation that I have witnessed. Not all bad, but there are CERTAINLY some horror storys!
